Technology/ Science- Investigating simple machines

For Technology/Science this term, the Tui team are learning about simple machines. Students have designed their own mini Rube Goldberg machine which includes some of the simple machines they have been learning about in class. Room 12 have had lots of fun experimenting through trial and error to make a successful mini Rube Gold Berg machine.

What is a Rube Goldberg machine?
Rube Goldberg machinecontraptioninventiondevice, or apparatus is a deliberately over-engineered or overdone machine that performs a very simple task in a very complicated fashion, usually including a chain reaction. The expression is named after American cartoonist and inventor Rube Goldberg(1883–1970).
